:: Who we are

Great Ashby Community Church was launched in October 2005 by Bunyan Baptist Church, and St Nicholas Church. We aim to be a vibrant expression of Christianity with a message relevant to the 21st Century. Christianity should be exciting, because having a personal relationship with God is exciting (or cool, depending on your age).

Our doors are wide open to people from all background. Whether you are new to Great Ashby or a long term resident, have no church background or you used to be an archbishop - we just don't mind!

We consider ourselves as on a journey of faith as followers of Jesus. Even though we come from different backgrounds and have had different life experiences, we all have one thing in common and that is the belief that God has created human beings for a purpose and that he desires them to know him in a personal way.

In God we have found purpose and fulfilment. We have discovered that Christianity is not about rule and regulation (as it is often portrayed), but it is about a dynamic relationship with the living God and an exciting journey towards him who loves and cares for us.
